Have you seen the last of us final episode? 🙃

OMG, so I just read that The Last of Us lost half of its audience. Wild, right? The finale just dropped on Sunday, so I definitely need to catch up.

Of course, the comment section is full of people saying it’s because the characters aren’t “appealing” and that the show got “woke.” Like… seriously? Having a non-straight character doesn’t make something “woke.” It just shows how uneducated some folks really are when it comes to using that word.

Honestly, the show took a footnote from the original game’s character traits and expanded on it. It’s not like they made it up—it was already there. They just explored a different path. That’s not being woke, that’s storytelling. If anything, it’s a “what if” take on the source material.

But yeah, whenever a show messes too much with something fans already love, it tends to backfire. Not because it’s “woke,” but because it strays too far from what made the story a hit in the first place. Why do creators keep doing this thinking it’ll work in their favor? Just… leave well enough alone sometimes.

Anyway, I never played the game, so this is all brand new to me. I’m watching it with fresh eyes—no judgment, no bias—and honestly, that’s the best way to go into it.
